OLD STUFF Gesture: Eziah is a landscape in terms of its simplest forms. The foreground is created by a large diagonal slash cutting across the bottom section of the paper, with the horizon line ripping across the upper portion and converging with the foreground at roughly the center-right of the plane. I was painting very agressively, very expressionistically, on very expensive pieces of 300 pound D'Arche's watercolor paper. When one of the compositions just wasn't working out, in material costs alone I would take a financial hit. While clean and straightforward, the simplicity of the composition of these left me looking for a more sophisticated image, a more complicated design.
